Economics

When I was signing up for class for the fall semester (back in the winter semester), I thought about how fun and cool it would be to major in Graphic Design while minor in Business Management. What the heck? I only needed a few classes to complete my minor anyways, so it should be easy right?

Um, wrong. I had to take Economics.

Has anyone taken economics? I don’t know about you, but it has kicked my butt. Like, is this what real life really is about? If so, I’m not ready for it yet.

However, I have learned so much about myself taking hard classes like these. I know these sound cheesy, but it’s true. I’ve learned how to manage my time better and how to improve my scores. I’ve spent hours in the Econ Lab, talking to TA’s. I’ve also spent hours and hours studying and talking to the professor. Being a good student is hard! It takes a lot of effort. But, It’s worth it. All you little freshman (that probably will never read this), I only have one piece of advice for you and it’s to be a good student. Yes, you can have fun and do your freshman things, but also be a good student. Don’t waste your time and money by getting bad grades and skipping classes. I’ve only been able to survive college because I’ve had to work hard for the grades I’ve gotten. Have fun and work hard.

  1. I can’t wait until you are done with this class! It will be a relief for both of us!

  2. Ugh my husband made me take this class with him! Worst decision but I did appreciate the understanding I gained from the class.
